Prunus cerasus 'Schattenmorelle' x Prunus canescens
Medium strong growth. The growth rate depends on the site. There is a significant growth reduction on dry and light soils. Good to very good fruit size is achieved despite regular heavy yields. Yields well from the beginning with quick transition to the full crop phase. The high and early crop can lead to overcropping on very fertile varieties and therefore negatively influence the fruit size. Constant pruning, fertilisation and if necessary irrigation are required for high fruit qualities. Because of the reduced growth high picking rates are possible.
1,5 - 3 m x 3,5 - 4,5 m
Cultivation only on good, not too heavy soils without a tendency to stagnant moisture. An additional irrigation is recommended on dry sites. Good frost hardiness.
