Trees - History

Gräb Nursery evolved out of a small fruit growing business and is still closely linked to the fruit growers. The first bench graftings and rootstocks were planted in 1988. In the early days the production was mainly focused on pomes (apples, pears), but in the 1990s the demand for high quality stone fruit trees increased steadily. As a consequence it was decided to pursue the present strategy, namely to serve the market segment of stone fruit trees.

Sweet cherries are the most important crop on a cultivation area larger than 20 hectares. The range is topped off by apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, sour cherries and elder. Our target audience are exclusively commercial fruit growers and nurseries that grow primarily in containers.
