The viticultural climate of the region between the Rhine and the Moselle in the western part of Germany is characterised by summers with little precipitation. The average annual precipitation is about 500-600 mm/m². The average annual temperature is 10.8 °C. Our local climate promotes an early wood maturity and tree healthiness during cultivation.
The volcanic weathered soil has a high pumice content in this area, which promotes good aeration of the soil. Additionally, our soils are known for their excellent water storage capacity and rapid warming. Therefore, they provide perfect conditions for the cultivation of stone fruit trees.
