Diablotina (S)
Nectarine, Prunus nucipersica
Diablotina (S) is a very interesting new nectarine variety, which stands out from previous varieties in particular due to its completely intense red flesh.
This late-ripening nectarine impresses with its early onset, ideal to high yield, and good fruit size, even in years with late frosts during flowering.
Diablotina (S) is well suited for organic cultivation. Even in very wet years, this variety is not very susceptible to Monilia laxa/Monilia frutigena (blossom end rot/fruit rot) and is tolerant to Taphrina deformans (leaf curl).
Other exceptional fruit characteristics include excellent coloration, exquisite aroma, texture, and juiciness.
The fruit is mainly sold directly to consumers and should be harvested when ripe, as this is when the acidity breaks down.
