Fruit production - History

Gräb Nursery emerged out of a fruit growing farm with poultry production that was founded in the 1950s. The original farm cultivated area of 3 hectares. An extensive range of berries, stone and pome fruit was cultivated for direct marketing. Today, new varieties and rootstocks from all over the world are tested for their suitability under the local climatic conditions on an area of about 4 ha. With this change, commercial fruit production completely receded to the background.
